World Halo [2014]

“Therefore, we may consequently state that: this world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence … a single visible living entity containing all other living entities, which by their nature are all related.” Plato.

The World of Geos is surrounded by a web of souls which connects every living being together, this Soul Web is commonly referred to as the World Halo. While the World Halo connects every living being there are some points of contact which are stronger than others, these can be thought of as the weights which hold the net down. Those people in whom the World Halo manifests more strongly are literal bright spots in the World Halo and they seem to have more access to their inner energy than normal people.

Costume Requirements

  • There are no particular costume requirements or suggestions for characters with a World Halo Heritage.

  • Bonus Halo: A World Halo character begins play with Halo Gift, and Halo Bridge. They also receive the Bright Halo merit for free which means they get 15 Halo free per level instead of 10.
  • Halo Recovery: A World Halo character receives a +1 constant bonus to Halo Regeneration and Halo Meditation.
  • Halo Resistance: A World Halo character has a Resistance to any direct Halo damage meaning that they lose half the usual about of Halo from such an attack.
  • Halo Sense: A World Halo character has an innate ability to sense whether someone is connected to the World Halo. If a target has any Halo at all then they come up as attached, however, if a target doesn’t have any Halo they come up as disconnected. This ability is opposed by Disguise Persona using the characters ranks in Heightened Senses. If a major event occurs within the World Halo then World Halo characters can sense the disturbance.
  • Soul’s Defense: If an effect causes a character with this Heritage to lose their soul or Halo then the character can choose to instead lose this Heritage; however, the character can never again have a non-infected Heritage.
  • Halo Ghost: A World Halo character who meets final death inside the World Halo is an excellent candidate for immortality as an NPC Halo Ghost.

  • Halo Prison: A World Halo character can never travel outside of the World Halo. This prevents the character from travelling to Cathay, Halloween, or Outside Geos Realm Space.
  • Mana Vulnerability: A World Halo character has a Vulnerability to any direct Mana damage meaning that they lose double the usual about of Mana from such an attack.
  • Forbidden: A World Halo character is unable to cause Halo damage to another being; this does not prevent them from receiving Halo Gifts or partaking in Halo Bridges with willing individuals.
