Summoner: Class: Arcane and Intellect
It is not uncommon for Arcane casters to surround themselves with guards or servants, Summoners however, prefer to summon and bind creatures from the planes to serve them. Summoners spend years studying the intricacies of the planar barriers so that they can summon servants from beyond the planar barriers.

Apprentice [Low]:
Requirements: To take this template the character must have a minimum Offensive Willpower of 1. The character must also have Arcane Casting Rank 1, Lore Arcane Magic Rank 1.
Template Advantages:

  • Familiar: Summoners gain a supernatural familiar of any type; the familiar comes with any one Low option and has a boon cost of zero. If a Summoner’s familiar dies, they take permanent Con damage instead of Eternal Con damage. If a Summoner wishes to replace their familiar (living or dead) they must pay Boons to do so as normal. Summoners can speak freely with their familiars.
  • Summoned Creature: Summoners who become the Master of a Summoned Creature do not suffer the usual penalty to Defensive and Offensive Willpower for their first Summoned Creature. Summoners who are Masters of Summoned Creatures spend only half the normal amount of Halo to Summon them. Summoners who are Masters of Summoned Creatures enable their Summoned Creatures to move 20 feet per point of Offensive Willpower away from them while maintaining active control. If a Summoner loses consciousness then their Summoned Creature is returned to their home plane, however, this return occurs 10 minutes after the Summoner loses consciousness and if Summoner regains consciousness in that time the Creature may stay; if a Summoner dies then the Creature is returned instantly to their home Plane.
