The descendants of great heroes are often motivated to follow in their famous ancestor's footsteps. These people have been raised listening to the great tales of their ancestor and long to live up to their ancestor’s achievements.

  • There are no specific requirements for a character to take an heroic heritage. This heritage can be taken at any time.
    • Note: Regardless of when the heritage is taken, it should be reflected in the character's backstory from the time of character creation.

Costume Requirements

  • Heroic characters are attempting to live up to their ancestor’s memory and as such they refuse to be seen going out on adventures in dirty or poorly kept clothing; however, they don’t mind being seen coming back from adventures covered in mud and blood.


  • Heroic characters gain the Famous Ancestor merit at no cost. In addition, their ancestor is generally more famous than that of those who take the merit without the heritage.
  • Heroic characters have a stubborn will to succeed and gain a +2 Constant bonus to their skills-willpower-defensive.
  • Once per game, Heroic characters can call upon their ancestor and have 3 Location, 2 Constitution, 10 Mana and 30 Halo restored. This effect doubles at Mid level, triples at High level, and quadrupled at Epic level. Either before or after this blessing the character must spend at least one minute (Low), two minutes (Mid), three minutes (High), five minutes (Epic) talking about their heroic ancestor. This ability can be used when the individual; is unconscious.


  • Heroic characters get very defensive about their ancestor's memory and will defend it aggressively.
    • Note: If the character is able to Rage, insulting their ancestor will immediately cause them to do so.
