Cthon

Cthon is an elemental deity formed of the elemental power of Earth, Water, and Ice. Cthon and Eos were formed in a crucible when Tridian attempted to create a single elemental deity. Cthon and Eos have a love-hate relationship; they sometimes seem to be a perfect couple and sometimes appear to be on the verge of war. Eos and Cthon are the youngest deities on Geos and are the least human.

Church of Cthon
Followers of Cthon tend to be logical and methodical. When faced with a challenge or an issue they prefer to sit back and assess each situation before acting, following the commandment, “Slow and Steady”. Rash behaviour and chaos tends to annoy them, and they often think themselves better and more disciplined than those whom they perceive to act without thinking. They do not believe that progress should be rushed, and important decisions should be carefully considered from every angle. Compromise in disputes is common among the followers of Cthon, as compromise is usually the most logical conclusion to a disagreement.
Their churches, known as shrines, tend to be created within the earth, either in rocky caves or carved out of solid ice. Dark blues and browns are the usual colour palette of any shrine, though these colours are usually found in the earth and ice that make up the structure of the shrine itself. Typically these shrines have some body of water within it, usually a small pool naturally formed within a cave, or water collected in a decorative basin from naturally melting ice. During worship, followers often dip their fingers into the water and touch it to their lips, as a sign of respect for their god.
